Dear San Felipe de Neri Parents,

Easter Celebrations

Celebrations are everywhere lately! Congratulations to our newly baptized children and our young adults. We have even had a wedding in our community, blessed by the church. All of us join wishing you a holy journey as you continue to develop your faith filled days. We need your help to remind students that they must actively participate during our masses. They are expected to respond reverently and to sing on Sunday and during our week day masses. Talk to your child about the importance of this most holy celebration. When we attend mass together we can model for them the appropriate ways to respond. Happy Easter again!

Parent Advisory Council

The Parent Advisory Council is looking for a few great members to enhance their leadership roles in our school community. Next year we plan to organize ourselves differently. For each respective area two individuals will work together as a team to accomplish the school's goals. For instance one team may be responsible for just the Fundraising that involves the Turkey Bingo. Another duo may be responsible to manage the Fiestas. Another pair may work on marketing for the entire community. Kindly nominate someone or yourself if you are interested in this important ministry. We meet once a month, the first Monday of each month in the middle school for about one and half hours. Then these wonderful teams will enlist other families to help with all of our fundraisers and other long term goal planning. Give me a call if you have additional questions.

San Felipe de Neri Parish Concert

San Felipe de Neri Parish Renovation Project Benefit Concert & Dance. Concert & Dance is scheduled April 28^th, 2012 at 8 p.m. Gonzalo & El Gringo featuring AJ Martinez. Special guest Micky Cruz. Held at Hollywood - San Felipe Casino I-25 Exit 252. All Events over 21. Tickets available at the San Felipe de Neri gift shop in Old Town or at www.sanfelipedeneri.org.

Character Counts Awards

Mrs. Jennifer Finney and Larry Mora will be feted on Friday night at the Hotel Albuquerque as our adult and students Archdiocese of Santa Fe Character Counts' nominees. It is always a pleasure to recommend such great models in our school community. Enjoy you special evening.

Field Day

Parents may still complete their volunteer hours for this year during our field day events. May 16, Pre-K -4^th Grade will play together over at Tiquex Park and May 17, 5-8th graders will compete from 9-10:30 am. Snacks will be provided for everyone. Coach and all the teachers will appreciate your help!
